A Day in the Lou

I was needing to do a little outlet mall shopping and I had bought tickets to The Magic House on groupon so we decided to head to St. Louis for the day.  The Magic House was our first stop.  Sam is getting a little big for some of the things at The Magic House but there are still many things that he enjoyed (there are things there that I enjoy).  Ella loved it all!  They had a display area set up about the culture of China which I found very interesting.  Ella and Sam really enjoyed the bubble room and the nail board.  Another one of their favorites is the area set up like the Oval office and a court room.  They also had a huge sandbox set up outside that Ella loved but we weren't able to stay for too long because of the other things on our agenda.
Stop number two was The Cheesecake Factory for lunch.  The kids had never been and I thought Ella would love it.  She is a big cheesecake fan.  I think Sam liked it as much as she did though.  It could be the fact that we all thought the cheesecake he picked was delicious. I would say Oreo will be what my kids order if and when we return.
After an unplanned stop at The American Girl Store, which was right next to the restaurant we headed to the outlet mall.  We were in search of a backpack for Ella for the school year but didn't really have any luck.  We did get Sam some new shoes for school and some clothes for both he and Ella though so the trip was successful.  It was a nice afternoon and something different from our usual routine.

Good afternoon, Mr. President

Singing The Star Spangled Banner on stage.

Yes, your honor.

They were obsessed with making a big bubble.

Taking selfies while Ella plays in the sand.

Riding through the streets of China.

Love the do!

Sam is all smiles when he sees his Oreo cheesecake.
