ConGRADulations!

Our third niece graduates from high school this coming weekend.  Sarah will graduate at the top of her class and follow in her sister's footsteps attending The University of Arkansas.  Unfortunately, both of Ella's dance classes perform in a recital on Sunday so Ella, Sam and I will not be able to attend.  John is going to go to her graduation though and represent our family.
The good news is that Sarah's graduation open house was last weekend so we were able to go down and celebrate with her then.  We were able to spend both Saturday and Sunday with the Lowes and help a little with party preparations.  She had a fun open house with a mashed potato bar.  A lot of guests stopped by to wish Sarah well and congratulate her on all her accomplishments.  We could not be more proud of the young lady she has become and have no doubt she will be successful in college and beyond.

Fifth Grade Graduation!

Sam celebrated his fifth grade graduation at the Rock Bridge High School Auditorium. Grandma and Grandpa came back to Columbia to celebrate with him.  Sam received many awards through out the night and made us proud.  After a long ceremony, we headed back to the house for dinner and Sam's favorite, cookie cake.   I can not believe that he is going to middle school next year.  He is excited and a little nervous about next year.  But I think he will really enjoy it and do well.

Con GRAD ulations!

I still can not really believe it but Hannah graduated from high school this year.  She not only graduated but graduated valedictorian of her class.  The kids and I headed down to Rogersville for a family lunch and the ceremony.  We all met up at Cheddar's and had lunch together.  Then Sam and I headed back to the Lowe's house while the rest of the girls went to get their nails done for the day.  Then it was time to head to the high school for graduation.  Hannah gave a wonderful speech and it was a nice ceremony.  This fall, she is headed to the University of Arkansas.  We selfishly wish she was coming to MU but are so proud of her and know she will love college and be super successful.

Congratulations Ellie!

Last weekend we headed down to Rogersville to celebrate Ellie's high school graduation.  We began the festivities with an open house on Saturday night.  It was nice to hang out with family and see one of John's cousins and aunt that we do not get to see that often.  The kids had fun just playing in the backyard and hanging out with their cousins.  Sunday morning we got together for an early lunch at Lambert's and ate way too much food.  It is hard to say no to the delicious rolls and fried potatoes.
Ellie's actual graduation ceremony was not until Sunday evening so we did not attend.  With a three hour drive back to Columbia and two kids that needed to be in bed since they had school in the morning, it just did not seem wise.  We are so proud of Ellie and excited for all the opportunities that college brings.
