We all Must Get Older!

So yesterday was Ella's birthday. I told her that today she turned three! I was expecting smiles and excitement but instead I got a pouty face and a, "No, I am still two."

I tried to explain to her that it was her birthday and asked, "Don't you want to be three?"

Ella replied, "No, I am not done with two yet."

Oh, if only it were that simple. I don't think I am done with twenty-five yet.

Three!

The birthday girl with her Princess Ariel cake

We celebrated Ella's third birthday with family this weekend. The weather actually cooperated and gave us a beautiful day. People were able to sit out on the back patio and the kids played out front on their bikes and scooters. Unfortunately, it didn't last long and Grandpa and Grandma had to leave early to beat the bad weather headed to Kansas City. We were glad so many people were able to come and celebrate with us. We are lucky to have such an amazing family!
Ella had a great time playing with everyone! She loved all of her gifts and her musical cards were a big hit! I think I will be singing & hearing, "It's your birthday princess. You're having a party today" for the next month. The party was princess themed as were many of the gifts. It was a wonderful day for our little princess.

Sledding videos

More Snow!

We enjoyed another five and half inches of fluffy stuff this last week. The kids were excited to get back out into the snow. We did some more sledding with our neighbors and the boys decided to add a small jump at the end of the sledding run for extra fun! On Sunday John's sisters brought their kids over to sled but the snow was starting to melt. It was great snow for a snowman though so we did that instead.
